I've realized that watching all these old Mexican movies is starting to spoil me pretty rotten. I'm getting used to having all my movies spontaneously burst into song, lush orchestrated songs where entire villages participate in the chorus. In fact it's not even just old Mexican movies, I stumbled onto this amazing Mexican indie called "Quemar Las Naves," seriously a beautiful film about falling in love; two parts "The Dreamers," one part "Bad Education," and half part "Brokeback Moutain." Anyways one of my new favorite films, why can't I find a cute rough outsider kind of love like that?

I can't rave long enough about this film, really a beautiful portrait of a person falling in love.
